Lerina van Rensburg
Vocals | Guitar | Theory | Voice Movement Therapy
Lerina has been entertaining audiences from a young age. She boasts vast experience and qualifications, including a Licentiate (SDCSA), BA Degree (UP), Postgraduate Education Certificate (Unisa), Level 6 Teachers Licentiate (Rockschool), Vocal and Theory Gr. 8 (Rockschool), Vocal Gr. 8 (Trinity Rock & Pop), Music Theory Gr. 6 (Trinity), Performance Certificates in Folk Singing and Vocals (JAM), Digital Music Production (Emendy), Short Course in Management and Marketing for the Music Industry (Wits), and qualified Voice Movement Therapy Practitioner (IAVMT). Her teaching experience ranges from London-based schools, CHIMS (Courtney House Instrumental Music School), and heading up the Music Department of Pretoria-East Primary. In 2005, Lerina founded Vibrience Music Notes, where she has not only been individually teaching Vocals and Guitar, but steering the music academy into a flourishing business. In 2016, she launched a second music school, Ovie-Vibz, with a current 14 teachers in its employ and still growing.
Guitar | Drums | Music Production
Divan has been musically orientated from a young age and has accumulated over 12 years’ experience in guitar, underpinned by Guitar Gr. 8 (Trinity). He started learning other instruments, including bass, drums, and piano to gain a more holistic musical understanding and help him improve his songwriting. In 2014, Divan started his journey in music production and sound engineering, and completed his 3-year Diploma in Music Technology (Emendy) in 2016. He also holds multiple certifications in Avid Pro Tools.
Divan currently works as Studio Technician and teaches in his free time. He is the co-founder of Track Merchant, specialising in backtrack creation. He also does session work in both studio and live show settings.
Piano | Keyboard
With 11 years’ experience on Piano and Keyboard, Angelique is completely at home on stage and is at her happiest when playing music. Currently studying Jazz & Popular Music
(TUT), she is comfortable in a variety of genres, including Light Music, Pop, and Classical Music, although her specialisation lies in Jazz. She has completed Classical Piano Gr. 6 (Unisa), Piano Gr. 6 (Rockschool), Keyboard Gr. 6 (Trinity), and Music Theory Gr. 5 (Unisa). She is also part of three bands – The Red Lips Jazz Trio, The Red Clay Band, and Curly Tunez – and performs weekly gigs and concerts in both solo and band capacity.

For Martie, music and education are not merely work, but her true passions. Having started music as a young child, at the age of 10 she already decided to make it her study path. After
completing her B.Mus (SU), Martie started teaching predominantly as private music teacher, and has also held several locum and temporary school teaching posts. Martie has been involved in the planning of Noorderkruin Eisteddfod for over 10 years, and has further judged at various schools internal eisteddfods. She also accompanied many instrumental candidates and vocalists in examinations and performances, as well as children and adult choirs. Her life motto: Without music, life will B-flat!

San-Mari grew up with music and completed her Unisa piano examinations during her school years. In 2005, she obtained her BA.Mus (NWU) with vocals as main instrument. After completing the Kindermusik educators training (Kindermusik University), she then spent over a decade teaching the program, focusing on early childhood development through music education. During that time she also joined the Vibrience Music Notes teacher corps, and in 2017, was part of formation of the new Ovie-Vibz music centre at Overkruin High School. At Ovie-Vibz, San-Mari’s attention is focused mainly on the younger students – building their music foundation and fostering love of music through group and individual lessons. She was co-founder of the Vibri-Level Program, which introduces children aged 6 to 9 to different instruments, and also facilitates the Vibri-Play Program for children between the ages of 4 and 6. San-Mari also teaches piano, vocals and the recorder. Her favourite music quote is: Music is not just what I do – it is who I am!
Piano | Flute | Music Theory
Mareli has taken music lessons from a young age and joined a youth orchestra at 16, which made her realise that she would like to make music her career. Having studied flute under Prof. John Hinch (UP), she started giving flute lessons from her second year. Mareli also plays intermittently in various orchestras, namely the Johannesburg Symphony, Gauteng Philharmonic, Pretoria Youth Philharmonic, and East Rand Youth Orchestras; as well as ad hoc for different orchestral projects. She also joins her husband as a guitar and flute duo, Twenty Fingers, for special events. Mareli teaches piano, flute, and music theory lessons, and maintains that music has an exceptionally good effect on a child growing brain. Her recommendation to those who are hesitant on spending money on music lessons is to watch this video on why children should play music!
Guitar | Drums
Andre has been involved in music education for over two decades, and is also no stranger to the performance arena. He has already released seven CDs and is currently working on his eighth album. In 2004, he co-founded Mischief Guitar Duo, an instrumental steel and nylon string guitar ensemble. He furthermore performs solo as The Traveller, and also provides ad hoc guitar backing to country-blues-rock band, Miss Heidi & The Bar Room Bandits. A specialist in light music, Andre obtained his Performance Licentiate (Contemporary Music College), as well as Electric Guitar Gr. 8 (Rockschool), and is presently working toward a classic guitar licentiate in 2019.
Vocals | Piano | Saxophone | Theory
George moved from a small Free State town to Pretoria in 2017 to pursue BMus (UP) with main instrument Jazz Voice. He is not only a vocalist but also an accomplished pianist and saxophonist, having secured his Classical Piano Gr. 8 (ABRSM), Contemporary Piano Gr. 8 (Rockschool), Jazz Saxophone Gr. 6 (ABRSM), and Contemporary Vocals Gr. 8 (Rockschool).
In high school, George competed in, amongst others, Beyond 2000, eisteddfods, and ATKV arts festivals. As a university student, he currently forms part of the UP-Jazz Ensemble since 2017 on saxophone and vocals. In 2019, he held first saxophone chair in UP Symphonic Wind Orchestra (UPSWO). Currently finishing his 3rd year of BMus, George is an ambitious musician, performing in pop/rock band SolidSt8 at various festivals, where they have opened for Steve Hofmeyr and 4Werke.
Luandri Van Wyk
Luandri has received vocal coaching from age 7 at SA Future Stars Music School and has throughout her schooling excelled in many competitions, earning, amongst others, her Diploma in Vocals with 96% within her age category. With 22 years’ intensive vocal coaching as framework, and passion for music as the driver, she knows this is what she is going to do for the rest of her life.
Luandri has recorded 4 albums, the latest of which enjoyed Kruiskyk Top 10 status for 4 weeks and press coverage in several magazines. She has performed live on TV channel DKNT Gospel, and has also presented on Kruiskyk’s program Impak. She has numerous performances under her belt, including CD launches, as well as at many churches and national arts festivals. She is also actively involved in her church worship team as vocalist and at times worship leader.
Apart from providing theory and keyboard training, Luandri has just completed her Vocal Gr. 3 Internal exam and started Gr. 4. Since 2017, she has shifted her focus to teaching vocals, with the intention of instilling in students a passion for and heartbeat of music – that it comes from the heart!
Hanlie completed her MMus in Piano Performance (UPE) and thereafter HOD (UNISA). During her high school and student years, she performed in the UPE String Orchestra under the guidance of Prof. Jack de Wet. She obtained three licentiates in Performance, Teaching, and Accompaniment (UNISA), as well as Methodology of Cello (UPE). She lives out her passion for music in both solo and ensemble playing.
With 3 decades’ experience, Hanlie is highly regarded by students and parents alike. She encourages students in an enjoyable manner to attain great heights in the interpretation of music, supported by sound technique and knowledge of style periods and composers. Hanlie forms duos, trios, and quartets with her students and regularly offers them performance opportunities. Her motto is “Achieve excellence with enjoyment.”
Lieandri developed a passion for entertaining at the age of 8, and loves to perform and entertain casual audiences whenever the opportunity arises. Having since completed her Vocals Gr. 8 (Rockschool) with Merit and currently working toward her B.Ed Intermediate degree (Aros), Lieandri is an assistant teacher and school choir aide at Louis Leipoldt Primary School, and has most recently joined the Ovie-Vibz team teaching vocals. Some of Lieandri’s many highlights include joining Nedine Blom as backing vocalist and appearing in her Supercool vir Jesus music video; as well as being awarded both School Junior and Senior Idol, multiple certificates in arts festivals, and National qualification in Talent Africa. She furthermore received School Colours and Honours for Lead Female in the Centurion School Choir; and achieved 3 gold, 9 silver and 3 bronze SATCH medals. In 2016, she was awarded Vibrience Best Senior Vocalist, and has also released 3 YouTube singles.
Violin | Viola
Juretha started playing violin at the age of 8 and studied viola under Prof. John Wille (UFS). She was a lecturer at FS Musicon and member of PACOFS Orchestra. After moving to Gauteng in 2007, she freelanced in various Gauteng orchestras, including the Johannesburg Philharmonic, Johannesburg Music Initiative, Gauteng Philharmonic, and Potch Symphony orchestras. One of Juretha’s highlights includes being part of Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra touring company to Azerbaijan in 2014 to participate in the Gabala International Music Festival. Since 2017, she is happy to have become part of the Vibrience and Ovie-Vibz family, teaching violin and viola.
Piano | Vibri-Level
Elané has been playing piano for 14 years with qualifications including Piano Gr. 8 (Trinity) and Music Theory Gr. 5 (Rockschool), and has participated in numerous competitions and accompanied various artists. As pianist and keyboardist, Elané has been part of the Vibrience/Ovie Vibz Band for 4 years, accompanying students in an annual live concert setting, and also has 7 years’ experience playing in church. Currently, she is a member of newly formed band, NSA (No Strings Attached). Moreover, Elané has sung in different choirs, most recent of which the choir of Tübinger Stift, Germany. She has 4 years of experience in teaching music to all ages (presented in both lesson and short course format), inclusive of piano and percussion instruments. For Elané, music has been, and always will be, her first language.
Guitar | Vocals | Ukulele
With 8 years’ experience in guitar, Clarize has accompanied various artists in live shows and was also the main guitarist in Romeo and Juliet at the Olaf Theatre. In 2016, she joined the teaching team at Vibrience/Ovie-Vibz. She completed her Vocals Gr. 8 (Rockschool) and Music Theory Gr. 5 (Rockschool) in 2016 and 2018 respectively. As performer and singer songwriter, Clarize has participated in numerous competitions, often walking away with various awards including category winner. She has been part of the Vibrience/Ovie-Vibz Band for the past two years and most recently stepped into the role of Band Director for two of the annual Band Shows in 2018.
Vocals | Guitar
From a young age, Ané has fostered a love for music and entertaining. Having started vocal lessons at the age of 10, she has since attained Vocal Gr. 7 (Rockschool), attended various music-industry-related workshops, and has participated successfully in numerous local talent competitions, including the 2017 Kraal Kunstefees where she walked away with A++ in the Rock Trio category. As multi-instrumentalist (with experience in guitar, bass, piano, and ukulele), Ané has performed both as solo singer-songwriter and part of the band, Slaviik, where she has taken on the roles of lead vocalist, guitarist and bassist. In 2018, after 7 years’ tuition at Vibrience, she made the easy transition to vocal and guitar teacher at Ovie-Vibz.

Edna is a highly qualified and inspirational music teacher, with a focus on quality teaching and establishing a culture of excellence in music departments. She possesses outstanding professional and music knowledge throughout the teaching and performance spectrum with a life purpose and goal to give music students world-class education. With Teacher Licentiates in both Piano and Vocals (UFS), alongside convincing and thoughtful lesson plans, Edna motivates, shapes, and encourages her students to achieve their full potential. She is currently involved full time at De Poort Primary and Ovie-Vibz.
Having studied Acting at Method Actor’s Training Centre (UP), classically trained Franzelle was named winner in all categories at the Centurion and Pretoria Eisteddfods. In 2006, she was hailed Centurion’s Most Promising Adult Singer. In 2008, she received 4 silver medals and a further 3 gold medals the following year at South African Talent Championships (SATCH). Franzelle devoted 6 years of her vocal coaching experience to Cornwall Hill College, as well as in Rustenburg and Lichtenburg, where she wrote, directed, choreographed and coached Lichtenburg High School’s own High School Musical. During 2010, Franzelle started working at Vibrience Music Notes as vocal and performance coach. Awarded her Vocal Gr. 8 (Rockschool) with Merit, she later started performing professionally and opened for some of SA top singers. In 2018, Franzelle received 2 gold medals at Talent Africa Nationals and was invited to represent SA in New York.
